i started knitting these up because...my mum was over for thanksgiving and we had a great time while she was visiting...but now she is back home and feeling a little depressed...so i thought maybe she'd cheer up if she were to get a little surprise...so i decided that i'll whip these up and stick them in the mail so that she'll have them for the weekend...i finished the first sock and now on the second... the leaf pattern would look much better in a solid color but i didn't have any in my stash...so variegated it is...yeah...i know...i'm supposed to finish the hedera before starting another sock...but working on size 1 needles is like knitting at turtle's pace...at least that's the way it feels...but i am going to finish them sometime this week...at least that's what i'm shooting for...

Ohh I love the way they are turning out. You are doing a great job. I am sure your Mum will love them and it will do the job of cheering her up!
